Test Lab Technician – DEPT 650 – Test Lab – Salaried Non-Exempt (Approx. $19.00 per hour) – Grade OT3 – 2nd Shift

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Product Engineering in setup and testing of new designs & component parts.

• Assembly, disassemble and failure analysis of test samples.

• Use schematics and prints to troubleshoot and repair test setups and samples.

• Perform testing per defined specifications and procedures.

• Report on and interpret test data.

• Build and maintain test stands and setups.

• Ability to read and interpret customer and internal test specifications and procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and blueprints.

• Must be safety conscious and follow all safety protocols.

Specific Knowledge and Abilities

• Associates degree in electrical/mechanical or test engineering or equivalent experience.

• Two years test engineering or technician experience desired.

• Rotating electrics design experience desired.

• Familiar and competent with use of test and measurement equipment.

• Ability to work with limited supervision, utilizes independent judgment skills and complete tasks.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, etc.

• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex assemblies, setups and scenarios.

• Proficient use of hand tools, wiring and assembly techniques.

• Ability to work flexible shifts.

• Good attendance record.
