POSITION SUMMARY

Parallel Employment Group is assisting our customer to help fill positions that provide powder coating of metal products.

Powder coating is a completely dry finishing process used on a wide range of materials and products. Finely ground particles of pigment and resin are electro-statically charged and sprayed on to products to be coated. The parts are electrically ground so the charged particles adhere to them and placed into an oven until melted and fused into a solid coating. This position is a 4 day work week, approx. 30 hours/wk, 1st shift $16/hr, 2nd shift $16/hr plus shift differential =$17.25/h.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sets up powder spray paint equipment, paint booth and curing oven.

• Sprays metal such as brass, steel and aluminum castings with powder paints, using a hand spray gun and pressure feed equipment.

• Mask & Unmask parts according to material prints

• Loads and unloads parts from curing oven.

• Maintain spray booth and curing oven as required.

• Disassembles and cleans all painting equipment and replaces paint filters.

• Inspects parts to ensure quality

• Performs duties in accordance with established quality standards.

• Maintain work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

• Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required

• Standing for long periods is required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work from standard procedures, blueprints and oral/written instructions.

• Fast paced position

• Manufacturing environment

• Lift up to 50 lbs. Manual
