We are looking for a Laser Machine Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Primary Job Duties:

• Set up/operate CNC laser machine to cut metal parts to blueprint/drawing specifications

• Identify and pull programs from network to load and run in machine

• Perform cutting on a variety of materials in various thicknesses

• Clean optics and select specific heads and nozzles based on material being cut

• Organize and identify/label different grades and thickness of materials

• Conduct 1st piece, intermediate intervals and final part inspections

• Verify conformance of parts to specifications

• Troubleshoot and correct poor cutting conditions

• Perform preventative maintenance on laser equipment

• Maintain spare parts inventory of laser machine, nozzles, seals, etc.

• Complete paperwork requirements and other duties as assigned

Skills/Requirements:

• Strong CNC/general machining background

• Experience with Bystronic laser cutting machines preferred

• Able to edit existing parameters and programs

• General knowledge of adjustments (turns w/ mirrors/lenses on laser)

• Familiar with the gases used to cut product. (Nitrogen, Argon, Oxygen and Helium)

• PC skills and Basic AutoCAD fundamental skills are useful

• Proficiency using inspection gauging, measuring devices, and instruments

• HS Diploma or GED required
